Check-in and Reporting Times

  • Standard hotel check-in time in China: 14:00 hrs
  • Standard check-out time: 12:00 hrs
  • For all international flights, report at the airport minimum 3 hours prior to departure.

Luggage Allowance

  • International flights generally allow 20–30 kg checked baggage per person (as per airline rules).
  • 7 kg cabin baggage is usually permitted.

Medicines & Clothing

  • Carry personal medication along with valid prescriptions.
    • For late May to early June (Beijing & Shanghai):
      • Weather is warm to mildly hot (20°C–32°C).
      • Light cotton clothing is suitable but keep:
        • A light jacket/cardigan
        • Comfortable walking shoes
        • Sunglasses & sunscreen
  • Both cities involve extensive walking in heritage sites wear comfortable footwear.


Climate Conditions

    • Beijing: Warm early summer weather, dry with clear skies; good for visiting the Great Wall, Forbidden City & Summer Palace.
    • Shanghai: Warm and humid, occasional light showers; pleasant for river cruises, gardens, museums, and shopping.


    Local Currency

    • Chinese Yuan (CNY) is the official currency.
    • Digital payments (WeChat Pay / Alipay) are extremely common but may require setup foreigners can usually use international cards within these apps.
    • Carry some cash for small shops, markets, and street vendors.
    • Major credit cards are accepted in hotels, large stores, and restaurants.


    Safety Precautions

    China is generally safe for tourists; however:

    • Keep valuables in hotel lockers.
    • Stay alert in crowded sites like markets, tourist areas, and metros.
    • Carry a copy of your passport & visa; store originals safely.
    • Follow local rules - China has strict regulations for smoking areas and public conduct.

    Booking Procedure

    • Reserve your seat by remitting a non-refundable booking deposit of INR 60,000 per person via Cheque/Demand Draft in favor of Intersight Holidays (P) Ltd, payable at Ernakulam.
    • Submit the completed Booking Form along with the booking deposit.
    • Provide clear passport copies of all participants for visa processing.

    Payment Policy

    • Booking Deposit: INR 60,000 per person at the time of booking confirmation (Non-refundable).
    • Balance Payment: Payable after visa approval or 45 days before departure, whichever is earlier.

    Cancellation Policy

    • More than 45 days prior to departure: INR 60,000 per person.
    • 31 to 45 days prior to departure: 50% of the total tour price.
    • 16 to 30 days prior to departure: 75% of the total tour price.
    • 0 to 15 days prior to departure: 100% of the total tour price.
